Questioning Faithmeds

I have my doubts about this enterprise. They seem to prominantly place a picture and quote from Linus Pauling so it looks like an endorsement of their products. HE DIED IN 1994

I hope they aren't getting more benefit than they deserve just because they have God on their staff.

Why not just say "We sell garlic pills and they might help your condition"?

Questioning Faithmeds

I did take a couple of ops from this company--mainly because--they make HUGE PROMISES--but they also back it up with a 1 year money back guarantee--so even if their "garlic pills may help your condition" you can get your money back if it doesn't. I thought that was well worth noting.

Their opps make me very uncomfortable and I chose not to take them. There's a testimonial on their site which implies that your cancer can be cured with natural supplements and prayer. I'm not knocking anyone's faith here. I believe that faith can work wonderful changes in a person's mind, soul and body. That being said, I'm not going to be the one to point some sick person towards a site that encourages them to give up the medications their doctor has prescribed. Maybe chemo or insulin is part of the answer to their prayers for healing.

I think there is a pervasive situation with the marketing scheme. It gets amplified from the top on down that there is nothing wrong with the products, so it's ok to use any marketing tactics imaginable to sell it. Except you can't say that anything cures cancer, except in pets (must be some legal precident).

I guess if I had to take the opp, to feed babies or something like that, I would. But I would have highlighted what the key ingredients of a product were and slipped in an impartial outside perspective on their efficacy.
