Any Ranks Restored After Reconsideration?

Postby JMom on Sun Jan 13, 2008 4:26 pm

I'm just curious, for those who asked for re-consideration, did you get PR restored with this last update?

Or are there any who didn't do anything and got back any ranking anyway?

Thanks.

Got my domain restored. It was mainly for a blog on a subdomain though that was affected by the ban.
Allan's World Music - Indie music team blog. (Non-PPP Blog)

Also a contributor for a Toronto Blue Jays Sports Blog
Bluebird Banter (PR6- but not my blog lol)

Thanks for responding, guys.

Katy, thanks for the link. That was a very informative post.

At least I know now PR can be restored. Although I don't think I will bother restoring my previously PR4 blogs on blogspot. I still have a hard time admitting wrong doing for something that I did not sign on for. The way I look at it, I didn't sign up for and agree to Google's TOS, so how can I be breaking it?

Before I started doing PPP, I didn't really worry too much about PR anyway, so I'll just keep plugging along. If I don't make anymore money because of PR (and I haven't for the last two months), so be it. It was nice while it lasted.

Three of my blogs PR were restored and a few of my blog readers too get theirs.

Basically, we stop doing paid post, no more selling text links and put the no-follow plugin.

Some got theirs within days and some took a month. My blogs got the PR sometime between Christmas and New Year.

If the first submission doesn't work, just send them a sweet reminder. Maybe after a week or two.

but 5xmom, if you did all that, are you still able to make any income on your blogs? I know you are one of the top PPP earners. Has that affected how much you make from blogging?

LOL, I used to make USD1.8K per month. Now I have $28.65 sitting there. But it is a choice I have to make because those blogs are three years old and are my babies. I have other blogs to back-up.

From the three blogs, I do make a decent sum from Adsense. When I was smacked to PR 0, my Adsense and traffic dropped drastically.

I am from the Asia continent and with PR 0, I have no opp to do at all anyway.

Let's hope SocialSpark will allow no-follow.

ouch! a drop like that would hurt me :?

I guess we are all on the same boat. Right now I am down to ten bucks unpaid opps in PPP. In ten days, zip  So yeah, I'm hoping SocialSpark will allow met to start earning something again. It was nice having extra pocket change.

So 5xmom, unless it's no-follow, you're not doing any more paid reviews in the future?

::::whispers::::

I didn't request reconsideration, and I got PR back on a blog today. Of course, it got taken away on another blog, but I found it interesting that the blog that recovered PR (going from 5, to 0, and now to 3) has continued to do paid posts.
