How the heck did this criminal lawyer opp get approved?

Postby ColleenC on Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:54 am

He states in the description:

PR 3+ blogs only! Write about either how I helped you personally, your cousin, or whoever. If you can think of another way to write a post without a fake testimonial, that would be fine too.

So basically, make up a story? Great, an advertiser ENCOURAGING bloggers to be dishonest. Sweet! That will certainly give PPP the credibility they need.

I guess you could say something about the next time you commit a crime in Florida, he's your man?
If you can't annoy somebody with what you write, I think there's little point in writing.

That one made me feel icky too, Colleen. I flagged it cause I think it's wrong and I have no interest in seeing any other opps from them anyways!

I read that as please try not to write a fake testimonial.

I definitely didn't like this one. He suggests writing a real post second, and seems to be promoting that we should write up a fake post.

Came across it as well, I guess I was thinking too long on how I could post this without going badly against my principles, but when I clicked the button it was gone - too bad :(

That kind of thing could give lawyers a bad reputation! :-)

Actually, I think that is exactly the kind of thing that people mistakenly think PayPerPost is all about -- a phony story made to look like a personal endorsement. On the other hand, I know that many PPP bloggers use this technique to personalize their posts.

Aside from reviews of sites- if I don't have a real life story or experience to go along with an opp- I don't take it- and I certainly wouldn't have taken that one. Sleezy attorneys disgust me anyway.
I'm not single. I'm romantically challenged.
